Testimony Zanzibar

Approximately two Years ago I spoke to Pastor Kimaro of Zanzibar Church about paying them a visit. Whenever we made appointments he for some strange reason lost his mobile phone and as a result we lost contact, for a long time we were out of touch, at the end of July I heard the voice of the Lord strongly urging me to call the pastor.
Coincidentally he was also looking for me for quite some time around the same time that I eventually managed to get him on phone. I then informed him of  our desire to visit him for about two weeks. He accepted our request and we then sought permission from the Lord who granted us a safe travel to on the 9th August, 2013. I  and bro Charles Robert. We started meetings that Friday evening and continued on Saturday and finally on Sunday 11th August 2013. We had a very blessed meetings in Zanzibar and it was actually very difficult to say good bye at the end of it.
On Monday after the meetings the pastor requested us together to pay visits to some brethren up country Zanzibar. We went and we found our Brothers and Sisters. Oh what a sweet group of believers, they were a great blessing. These brethren live right in the middle of radical Muslim communities, the Island of Zanzibar is predominantly Muslim with 95% of the population being Islam.
When visiting the pastor warned us to be extra vigilant because it is so easy for the people to tell that we are Christians even just from the dressing and thus draw their attention and make them carefully watch our moves, they earlier had banned our brethren from testifying and even being seen in that area. We met Bro. and Sis. John at their tiny farm house with grass roofing.  Their welcome was very warm to us although the fellowship was very short lived and he requested us not to say a long prayer because of the situation in that area and that it would subject them to great trouble once we leave. We complied and in ten minutes we were leaving.
After that we started off to visit Sis. Monica. We found her with her younger daughters in her old and ragged small house but we saw very happy people in them, certainly full of Godly love. We had a fellowship for about ten minutes and she was very encouraged. Again at within ten minutes it was again hard to say goodbye and we longed to stay on and fellowship around the Word of the Lord.
We started off for another province again to visit another brother named Herman and the others. Our trip there was safe and when we arrived we found a few brothers and sisters assembled and we managed to have fellowship around the message of the hour. The Lord was gracious and we fished a few souls for Christ and the following day they had to travel to the City center for a baptism service. They did come and actually the number increase and we had a few more who were not in the meeting the previous day we baptized eight souls in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. We had a great and joyous time at the sea front that day and the Lord is a witness.
We only had ten minutes remaining before the departure of the last boat back to Dar es Salaam. We had our tickets with us already. We asked the Lord to do unto us like he did to His prophet when he held a plane that was due for take off and grounded it until the prophet arrived from ministering to one precious soul. We had eight. The Lord did it for us too and the boat did not leave before we got in. When we boarded it and hugged one another with holy kiss, Brother Charles and Myself congratulated each other while other passengers watching us without knowing where our joyous mood came from.
After that the Lord continued to set on fire in Zanzibar as we have continued to receive information that the following Sunday the Church in Zanzibar was filled up and two more were baptized. Pastor Kimaro continues to visit and encourage especially the new converts. For them to attend the church services the pastor has to pay for their transport because many cannot afford to pay for their own transport.
In Zanzibar there are number of believers who have to keep it secretly and maintain a very low profile after their baptism as coming out open would endanger their lives.
We pray the Lord to grant us a great and big meeting in the end of November 2013, so that we can win more souls to the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe there are more. Please Remember this in your prayers and remember Pastor Kimaro and his family they have made great scarifies to serve the Lord in the difficult circumstances.  God bless you.

Amen
